| Going threw some mags I have laying around here, I came across the Jan 2003 SSC Mag with Project Z on the cover. [ http://www.branzach.com/pressrelease/SCC_Jan_03_Cov.jpg ] Sure many have seen it. Well, looking threw there I see that JWT has a twin disc system made for the Z32. But as many know there site has not been updated since I think 1997 :( Then after looking around here for ever it seems, I can't find one piece of information saying they make this for the public and even the SCC site doesn't even list this part in there Project 300zx section on there site ( Part IX ). So that most could see this clutch. It's on page 188 and 190 in that months mag if you want to see it. [ http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/toc/0301scc_toc/index.html ] So I called down to JWT to see what's up with this kit. Talked to Ben and the stats on this clutch are kinda unknown for now but he said he'd get back to me today or tomorrow on HP and TQ ratings. The price blew me away compared to other kits. It's only $1495. That's an AL wheel, two ceramic/copper discs, aluminum ally clutch cover. He also said this clutch is not very slip-able and will chatter. Which I think may not all be true since others can do it, but may have something to do with some using carbon and some using metals. Mike K ( Project 300zx ) say's it's like an on and off switch that takes some time getting used to. But that's like most racing style clutchs with light flywheels. Ben also said after I made the comment about the last site updating ( 97 ), that the new site has been being worked on and will be done with in a month or two with all there new line of products and upgrades. So we'll see and just and update from the JWT house.
